Hunt for the heating system

[continued from the 'Confusion to moat' thread]

*Sinstar waits for the water to start making a exit through the door but nothing happens. Slowly she walks to the open door to see the floor covered in ice.*

I guess the heating has been knocked off.

*Looks to the ceiling where the sprinklers have stopped but thats due to the fact that there covered in ice.*

Well at least theres a bonus.

*Though the smoke is still forming due to Sinstars earlier spell...giving the ice rink a eerie feel.*

Ooops I forgot about that...

*Sinstar mummbles a few words and though the smoke doesn't disappear no more seems to appear. With another click of her fingers Sinstar and Broll suddenlu have a pair of skates on their feet. Sinstar takes a tentative step into the Castle come ice rink and instantly slipped on the ice.*

I have a feeling this is going to hurt. We need to find the heating system and switch it on.

*Sinstar slowly gets up only to fall down again seconds later.*

Humpf.....maybe we'll do better if we work at this together...

* Thinks to himself*
'Now where did I see the heating system when I was last travelling along the walls'

* To Sinstar *
I think the heating system is in the boiler room, and I think that room is in a corridor off here. I'm not sure which corridor with the door shifts, but atleast the dis-spell has stopped anymore shifts.

[Sinstar The Sorceress]

We hope....

*Sinstar takes Broll's hand in her's.*

OK let's go.Let's go for that corridor over there.

*Sinstar points in the direction of a corridor that SHOULD lead into the kitchen.*

Ready??

Well what have we got to lose? If we don't find the boiler room we should find food.

* As they skate towards the corridor Broll hopes he'll find the boiler room soon. *

[Sinstar The Sorceress]

Nothing to lose...unless there's any more surprises waiting for us. I hope not.

*Sinstar shivers as the cold of the Castle gets to her.

*Sinstar clicks her fingers and suddenly she's dressed up as a Eskimo but the added weight from the clothes cause her to topple over taking Broll with her.*

Sorry bout that. I'm not a great ice-skater.

*Gets up and pulls Broll up from the ice. Soon they get to the corridor to find.....*

Oh this should be fun, it looks like the corridor goes slightly uphill.

* Thinks *
'How can both of them get along the corridor?'

Right I've got an idea

* Broll takes off his skies and places them somewhere in his cloak. He then takes what looks like a running jump towards the corridor wall. Instead of smashing himself straight into the wall (Ooh nasty er?) he grips himself onto the corridor wall (it's more of a stone wall - not smooth). Then he starts to proceed along the corridor untill he reaches level ground. *

* At this point he carefully dismounts from the wall, and produces a rope. He throw the rope along the floor towards Sinstar. *

There grab hold of the rope and I'll pull you along the corridor.

[Sinstar The Sorceress]

*Grabs hold of the rope and holds on tightly. Within minutes Sinstar is at the top of the slope next to Broll.*

*Then they trundle off down the corridor slipping and sliding as they go. Soon they come to the kitchen that looks as if nothing has changed at all. Though looks can be deceiving...*

[The Brollachan]

* That's strange there is no ice in this room. I wonder if this room has something that is preventing ice from being on the floor. Anyway I think the heating system is just off the kitchen. *

[Sinstar The Sorceress]

*Spies a few doors in the kitchen.*

Well let's get searching....

*Takes the skates off her feet and goes into the kitchen still somewhat reluctantly and opens the first door she comes too which has the sprinkler system int she switches it off.*

Well at least that's been stopped.

*Looking in the cupboard carefully she can't find a heating system but does find a small hidden box. The box is velevt and has a moon and star symbol on it.*

Wonder what this is.....

[The Brollachan]

* Wondering around the room he spots a door, and looks inside it. *

Nope that's not it, that's a food store.

* Takes a bar of Bournville chocolate from the store room and continues wondering around. *

Have you found anything Sinstar?

Well the sprinkler system is off and I've found this box no sign of the heating system though. You???

I've found a bar of chocolate. I'm suprised how big the kitchen is, still it is in a castle. So what's in the box then?

[Sinstar The Sorceress]

I'm not sure. I don't reconise it but I'm not going to open it til we have the heating back on. Let's get one problem sorted before we open the box. Who knows what's inside??

*Sinstar places the box on the table then carries on searching for the heating system.*

[The Brollachan]

* Broll continues to wonder about the kitchen and comes across another door, and opens it. Inside is what they have been looking for. *

Ah I've found the boiler room.

* Enters the room *

and I think I can see the problem.

[Sinstar The Sorceress]

Good!!!

*Walks over to Broll and the boiler room.*

So whats the problem???

the water from the sprinklers caused the boiler to trip out. I'm sure there's an easy way to reset the system.
